Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Chase Trojans (Forest City, NC), 91-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Patton upgrades its record to 15-2 on the season. The Panthers travel to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC) to clash with the Bearcats in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 11-5. Hendersonville won 54-49 in their recent league bout against Brevard (Brevard, NC)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC) in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Chase will attempt to upgrade on its 0-15 season record. The Hilltoppers go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 65-52 league loss to East Rutherford (Forest City, NC).
