Illinois High School Basketball - Clinton fells Tuscola

January 19, 2024: Clinton, IL 61727

Clinton Maroons (Clinton, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Tuscola Warriors (Tuscola, IL), 70-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Clinton upgrades its record to 20-1 on the season. The Maroons host Tri-Valley (Downs, IL) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Monday, January 22. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 16-5. Tri-Valley won 54-52 in their recent non-league challenge against Lexington (Lexington, IL)

Next up, the Warriors confront the Schlarman Hilltoppers (Danville, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 20. Tuscola will attempt to improve on its 17-3 season record. The Hilltoppers come into the challenge with a 2-10 record after their 69-64 league win over Iroquois West (Gilman, IL).
