The Grandfalls-Royalty Cowboys basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Sanderson Eagles to 30 in the Cowboys league triumph on Friday.

The Cowboys now sport a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Comstock for a 1A Region II District 10 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Grandfalls-Royalty will battle a Panthers team coming off a 2-0 league win over Marathon (Marathon, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 13-9.

The Eagles (7-13) will now prepare for their contest against Comstock (Comstock, TX). The Panthers enter the 1A Region II District 10 contest with a 14-9 record. In their last contest, Comstock ran past Grandfalls-Royalty (Grandfalls, TX), 62-27, in a league contest.
