North Carolina High School Basketball - Greater Cabarrus Stallions knocked off by South Charlotte Thunder

January 19, 2024: Matthews, NC 28105

The South Charlotte Thunder Thunder basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Greater Cabarrus Stallions Stallions to 36 in the Thunder league triumph on Friday.

The Thunder now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Guilford HomeSchool for a non-league contest on Monday, January 22. South Charlotte Thunder will battle a Cougars team coming off a 81-53 non-league loss to Greater Cabarrus Stallions (Concord, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 10-15.

The Stallions (15-5) will now prepare for their contest against Lab University Prep Regional (Charlotte, NC). The Lab Rats enter the non-league contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Lab University Prep Regional was defeated by Hickory Hawks (Hickory, NC), 61-56, in a non-league contest.

Congratulations to #10 Ashton Arrowood for being selected the Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association Basketball Player of the Game.
