In Friday's league outing, the Loop Longhorns (Loop, TX) basketball squad nipped the host Klondike Cougars (Lamesa, TX), by a margin of 54-52.
The Longhorns (4-3) will now prepare for their outing against Sands (Ackerly, TX). The Mustangs go into the 1A Region I District 8 outing with a 14-8 record. In their last outing, Sands got by Dawson (Welch, TX), 67-18, in a league outing.
The Cougars now own a 3-12 record. They play next when they host Wellman-Union for a 1A Region I District 8 outing on Tuesday, January 23.
