The Klondike Cougars (Lamesa, TX) basketball nipped the host Loop Longhorns (Loop, TX), 60-57 in Tuesday's league test.
The Cougars (12-13) will now prepare for their test against Wellman-Union (Wellman, TX). The Wildcats go into the 1A Region I District 8 test with a 1-15 record.
The Longhorns now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they host Sands for a 1A Region I District 8 test on Friday, February 9. Loop will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 58-28 league win over Dawson (Welch, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 18-9.
