La Feria Lions (La Feria, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Raymondville Bearkats (Raymondville, TX), 59-43 in a league bout.

With the win, La Feria upgrades its record to 16-7 on the season. The Lions host Grulla (Rio Grande City, TX) to clash with the Gators in a 4A Region IV District 32 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Gators go into the bout with a record of 6-10.
