White Pine Bobcats (Ely, NV) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Laughlin Cougars (Laughlin, NV), 67-55 in a league bout.

With the victory, White Pine upgrades its record to 7-14 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Pahranagat Valley (Alamo, NV) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 5-11. Pahranagat Valley won 62-30 in their recent league bout against Liberty Baptist Academy (Las Vegas, NV)

Next up, the Cougars play the GV Christian Guardians (Henderson, NV) in a 2A Southern bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Laughlin will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Guardians come into the bout with a 6-9 record after their 48-47 league win over Awaken Christian (Las Vegas, NV).
