With the win, Marshall upgrades its record to 7-15 on the season. The Mavericks host Texas (Texarkana, TX) to play the Tigers in a 5A Region II District 15 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 11-15. Texas won 79-52 in their recent league bout against Pine Tree (Longview, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Mt. Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, TX) in a 5A Region II District 15 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Whitehouse will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 21-6 record after their 47-31 league win over Tyler (Tyler, TX).
