Mineral Point Pointers (Mineral Point, WI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Southwestern Wildcats (Hazel Green, WI), 59-46 in a league bout.
With the victory, Mineral Point upgrades its record to 14-0 on the campaign. The Pointers host Boscobel (Boscobel, WI) to confront the Bulldogs in a Southwest Wisconsin Activities battle on Thursday, January 25. The Bulldogs come into the battle with a record of 5-11.
The Wildcats (10-5) will now prepare for their battle against Black Hawk (South Wayne, WI). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 1-12 record. In their last battle, Black Hawk was toppled by Pecatonica (Blanchardville, WI), 58-26, in a league battle.
