Texas High School Basketball - Rio Grande City falls to Nixon

In Friday's league match, the visiting Nixon Mustangs basketball team scored a good 72-52 triumph over the Rio Grande City Rattlers.

In their next game, the Mustangs meet the Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 30 match, on Tuesday, January 23. Nixon will attempt to better on its 18-9 season record. The Gladiators enter the match with a 3-17 record after their 56-40 league win over Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX).

With the defeat, Rio Grande City moves to 17-12 on the year. The Rattlers host Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX) to meet the Huskies in a 5A Region IV District 30 match on Tuesday, January 23. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 2-26. Juarez-Lincoln lost 56-40 in their recent league match against Roma (Roma, TX)
