Maine High School Basketball - Thornton Academy knocked off by Scarborough

The Scarborough Red Storm basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Thornton Academy Trojans to 40 in the Red Storm league triumph on Friday.
The Red Storm now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sanford for a AA South contest on Tuesday, January 23. Scarborough will meet a Spartans team coming off a 68-41 non-league win over Massabesic (Waterboro, ME). The Spartans record now stands at 6-6.
The Trojans (5-10) will now prepare for their contest against Deering (Portland, ME). The Rams enter the AA South contest with a 5-8 record. In their last contest, Deering ran past Gorham (Gorham, ME), 62-61, in a league contest.
