In Friday's league outing, the Caldwell Hornets (Caldwell, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Austin Achieve Polar Bears (Austin, TX), by a margin of 52-14.

The Hornets (8-17) will now prepare for their outing against La Grange (La Grange, TX). The Leopards go into the 4A Region III District 22 outing with a 16-10 record. In their last outing, La Grange was trounced by Taylor (Taylor, TX), 52-38, in a league outing.

The Polar Bears now own a 2-17 record. They play next when they travel to Giddings for a 4A Region III District 22 outing on Tuesday, January 23. Austin Achieve will clash with a Buffaloes squad coming off a 57-20 league win over Manor New Tech (Manor, TX). The Buffaloes record now stands at 9-16.
