The Caldwell Hornets basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Austin Achieve Polar Bears to 5 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 5-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Elgin for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 19. Caldwell will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 28-27 league loss to Pflugerville Connally (Austin, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-13.

The Polar Bears (2-11) will now prepare for their contest against Giddings (Giddings, TX). The Buffaloes enter the 4A Region III District 22 contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Giddings was routed by Jarrell (Jarrell, TX), 61-45, in a non-league contest.
