South Carolina High School Basketball - Woodland fells Barnwell

January 19, 2024: Dorchester, SC 29437

Woodland Wolverines (Dorchester, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Barnwell Warhorses (Barnwell, SC), 59-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Woodland upgrades its record to 2-12 on the season. The Wolverines host Ridgeland-Hardeeville (Ridgeland, SC) to play the Jaguars in a AA Region 6 bout on Monday, January 22. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Ridgeland-Hardeeville won 48-32 in their recent league bout against Edisto (Cordova, SC)

Next up, the Warhorses play the Williston-Elko Blue Devils (Williston, SC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. Barnwell will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 40-14 league win over Wagener-Salley (Wagener, SC).
