Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Carolina International Comets (Concord, NC) and the visiting Queen's Grant Stallions (Matthews, NC), witnessed Carolina International's basketball squad crush Queen's Grant by a margin of 42-21.

The Comets (1-8) will now prepare for their test against Piedmont Community Charter (Gastonia, NC). The Patriots go into the 1A Metro 8 test with a 6-7 record. In their last test, Piedmont Community Charter was trounced by Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC), 41-37, in a non-league test.

The Stallions now own a 0-11 record. They play next when they travel to Valor Preparatory Academy for a 1A Metro 8 test on Monday, January 22. Queen's Grant will encounter a Owls squad coming off a 46-6 non-league loss to Jackson Day (Charlotte, NC). The Owls record now stands at 0-11.
