In Friday's league outing, the Midway Panthers (Waco, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Harker Heights Knights (Harker Heights, TX), by a count of 63-34.

The Panthers (17-11) will now prepare for their outing against Temple (Temple, TX). The Wildcats go into the 6A Region II District 12 outing with a 3-20 record. In their last outing, Temple was crushed by Weiss (Pflugerville, TX), 36-28, in a league outing.

The Knights now hold a 18-12 record. They play next when they travel to Hutto for a 6A Region II District 12 outing on Tuesday, January 23. Harker Heights will clash with a Hippos squad coming off a 53-38 league loss to Midway (Waco, TX). The Hippos record now stands at 12-17.
