The Midway Panthers basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Harker Heights Knights to 57 in the Panthers league win on Tuesday.

With the win, Midway upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Panthers travel to Temple (Temple, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 6A Region II District 12 bout on Friday, December 15. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 3-11. Temple won 38-37 in their recent league bout against Weiss (Pflugerville, TX)

Next up, the Knights play the Hutto Hippos (Hutto, TX) in a 6A Region II District 12 bout, on Friday, December 15. Harker Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Hippos go into the bout with a 6-13 record after their 55-43 league loss to Midway (Waco, TX).
