Texas High School Basketball - Holmes can't hold off Stevens

The Stevens Falcons basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the host Holmes Huskies to 64 in the Falcons league victory on Friday.

The Falcons now sport a 9-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jay for a 6A Region IV District 29 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Stevens will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 39-28 league win over Warren (San Antonio, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 20-10.

The Huskies (12-18) will now prepare for their contest against Sotomayor (San Antonio, TX). The WILDCATS come into the 6A Region IV District 29 contest with a 19-7 record. In their last contest, Sotomayor edged Stevens (San Antonio, TX), 74-36, in a league contest.
