Northwest Mounties (Jackson, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pennfield Panthers (Battle Creek, MI), 49-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Northwest upgrades its record to 8-1 on the season. The Mounties host Eaton Rapids (Eaton Rapids, MI) to play the Greyhounds in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a record of 1-10. Eaton Rapids lost 49-46 in their recent league bout against Charlotte (Charlotte, MI)

Next up, the Panthers play the Coldwater Cardinals (Coldwater, MI) in a Interstate 8 bout, on Saturday, January 20. Pennfield will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 9-2 record after their 49-32 league win over Harper Creek (Battle Creek, MI).
