The Northwest Mounties basketball team scored 51 points and held the host Pennfield Panthers to 32 in the Mounties league triumph on Friday.
The Mounties now sport a 17-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tecumseh for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 27. Northwest will battle a Indians team coming off a 59-55 non-league win over Renaissance (Detroit, MI). The Indians record now stands at 17-5.
The Panthers (5-15) will now prepare for their contest against Sturgis (Sturgis, MI). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 8-12 record. In their last contest, Sturgis ran past Three Rivers (Three Rivers, MI), 42-33, in a league contest.
