With the win, Ponder upgrades its record to 24-7 on the season. The Lions host Boyd (Boyd, TX) to play the Yellowjackets in a 3A Region II District 10 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 3-13. Boyd lost 44-35 in their recent league bout against Valley View (Valley View, TX)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Whitesboro Bearcats (Whitesboro, TX) in a 3A Region II District 10 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Pilot Point will attempt to upgrade on its 1-21 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 11-15 record after their 37-32 league loss to Paradise (Paradise, TX).
