University Wildcats (Los Angeles, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Venice Gondoliers (Los Angeles, CA), 30-27 in a league bout.

With the win, University upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Panorama (Panorama City, CA) to play the Pythons in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Pythons go into the bout with a record of 2-15. Panorama lost 88-15 in their recent league bout against Sylmar (Sylmar, CA)

Next up, the Gondoliers play the Palisades Dolphins (Pacific Palisades, CA) in a Western bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Venice will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record.
