University Wildcats (Los Angeles, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Venice Gondoliers (Los Angeles, CA), 33-25 in a league bout.

With the win, University upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA) to play the Dolphins in a Western bout on Wednesday, December 6. The Dolphins go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Palisades lost 64-56 in their recent league bout against Westchester (Los Angeles, CA)

Next up, the Gondoliers play the New Roads Jaguars (Santa Monica, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 6. Venice will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 48-43 league win over Hawthorne Math & Science Academy (Hawthorne, CA).
