The Halifax County Comets basketball team scored 38 points and held the host Tunstall Trojans to 5 in the Comets non-league triumph on Friday.
The Comets now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host George Washington for a non-league contest on Friday, January 26. Halifax County will meet a Eagles team coming off a 25-9 non-league win over Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-5.
The Trojans (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Martinsville (Martinsville, VA). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Martinsville was routed by Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA), 36-17, in a non-league contest.
