Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA), 56-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Fleming upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Colonels host Northside (Roanoke, VA) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 15-1. Northside won 68-37 in their recent non-league bout against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA)

Next up, the Terriers play the Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. William Byrd will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 10-2 record after their 62-53 non-league win over Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA).
