The Cubs now possess a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Friona for a 3A Region I District 3 battle on Friday, January 5. Brownfield will confront a Chieftans team coming off a 51-44 league win over Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX). The Chieftans record now stands at 12-9.

The Tornadoes (9-8) will now prepare for their battle against Littlefield (Littlefield, TX). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region I District 3 battle with a 17-3 record. In their last battle, Littlefield trounced Levelland (Levelland, TX), 72-34, in a non-league battle.
