The Cubs now possess a 20-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Friona for a 3A Region I District 3 battle on Tuesday, January 30. Brownfield will confront a Chieftans team coming off a 56-49 league loss to Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX). The Chieftans record now stands at 13-15.

The Tornadoes (13-10) will now prepare for their battle against Littlefield (Littlefield, TX). The Wildcats come into the 3A Region I District 3 battle with a 23-3 record. In their last battle, Littlefield edged Brownfield (Brownfield, TX), 77-65, in a league battle.
