Texas High School Basketball - Carthage knocked off by Gilmer

The Gilmer Buckeyes basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Carthage Bulldogs to 54 in the Buckeyes league triumph on Tuesday.
The Buckeyes now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Center for a 4A Region III District 17 contest on Friday, January 5. Gilmer will battle a Roughriders team coming off a 86-37 league win over Spring Hill (Longview, TX). The Roughriders record now stands at 10-8.
The Bulldogs (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against Henderson (Henderson, TX). The Lions enter the 4A Region III District 17 contest with a 2-19 record. In their last contest, Henderson was defeated by Kilgore (Kilgore, TX), 39-29, in a league contest.
