Texas High School Basketball - McLeod knocked off by Hawkins

The Hawkins Hawks basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting McLeod Longhorns to 48 in the Hawks league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hawks now sport a 18-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Harleton for a 2A Region III District 21 contest on Friday, January 5. Hawkins will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 62-38 non-league loss to Laneville (Laneville, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-10.

The Longhorns (24-2) will now prepare for their contest against Ore City (Ore City, TX). The Rebels enter the 2A Region III District 21 contest with a 5-10 record.
