In Tuesday's league outing, the Upper St. Clair Panthers (Upper St. Clair, PA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA), by a margin of 57-25.
The Panthers (7-3) will now prepare for their outing against Norwin (North Huntingdon, PA). The Knights go into the WPIAL 6A 2 outing with a 6-5 record. In their last outing, Norwin was trounced by Canon-McMillan (Canonsburg, PA), 57-50, in a league outing.
The Spartans now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Mt. Lebanon for a WPIAL 6A 2 outing on Friday, January 5. Hempfield Area will clash with a Blue Devils squad coming off a 73-50 league win over Baldwin (Pittsburgh, PA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 9-1.
