Maine High School Basketball - Southern Aroostook thwarts Stearns

The Southern Aroostook Warriors (Dyer Brook, ME) basketball knocked off the host Stearns Minutemen (Millinocket, ME), 55-40 in Tuesday's league test.
The Warriors (5-2) will now prepare for their test against Calais (Calais, ME). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 5-1 record. In their last test, Calais notched a victory over Lee Academy (Lee, ME), 74-31, in a non-league test.
The Minutemen now own a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bangor Christian for a D North contest on Friday, January 5. Stearns will battle a Patriots team coming off a 54-33 non-league win over Greenville (Greenville, ME). The Patriots record now stands at 7-1.
