In their next game, the Chiefs face the St. Patrick Fighting Irish (Biloxi, MS) in a 3A Region 8 game, on Friday, January 5. Tylertown will attempt to move on its 7-3 season record. The Fighting Irish enter the game with a 11-6 record after their 59-51 non-league loss to Petal (Petal, MS).

With the defeat, West Marion moves to 2-11 on the year. The Trojans travel to Perry Central (New Augusta, MS) to encounter the Bulldogs in a 3A Region 8 test on Friday, January 5. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 9-5.
