The Breathitt County Bobcats topped the visiting Elliott County Lions basketball team by a final score of 51-42 in Tuesday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Bobcats face the Jackson City Tigers (Jackson, KY) in a District 55 game, on Friday, January 5. Breathitt County will attempt to move on its 9-3 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 1-11 record after their 41-33 non-league loss to June Buchanan (Pippa Passes, KY).

With the defeat, Elliott County moves to 3-7 on the year. The Lions travel to Blazer (Ashland, KY) to face the Tomcats in a non-league game on Sunday, January 14. The Tomcats enter the game with a record of 6-4.
