The Elliott County Lions (Sandy Hook, KY) basketball felled the visiting Breathitt County Bobcats (Jackson, KY), 55-47 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Lions (7-14) will now prepare for their test against Blazer (Ashland, KY). The Tomcats go into the non-league test with a 22-5 record. In their last test, Blazer thwarted Knott County Central (Hindman, KY), 60-42, in a non-league test.
The Bobcats now own a 16-10 record. They play next when they travel to East Ridge for a non-league test on Saturday, February 17. Breathitt County will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 61-36 non-league loss to East Carter (Grayson, KY). The Warriors record now stands at 12-13.
