The Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Westwood Panthers (Palestine, TX), 40-34 in Tuesday's league test.

The Bison (7-14) will now prepare for their test against Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX). The Goats go into the 3A Region III District 20 test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Groesbeck got by Teague (Teague, TX), 43-34, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 8-13 record. They play next when they host Elkhart for a 3A Region III District 20 test on Friday, January 5. Westwood will encounter a Elks squad coming off a 34-30 league loss to Mexia (Mexia, TX). The Elks record now stands at 9-11.
