The Carthage Bulldogs basketball team (Carthage, TX), dropped 44-33 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX)
The Buckeyes now possess a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Center for a 4A Region III District 17 battle on Friday, January 5. Gilmer will confront a Roughriders team coming off a 49-26 league win over Spring Hill (Longview, TX). The Roughriders record now stands at 13-6.
The Bulldogs (9-11) will now prepare for their battle against Henderson (Henderson, TX). The Lions come into the 4A Region III District 17 battle with a 15-5 record. In their last battle, Henderson beat Kilgore (Kilgore, TX), 53-41, in a league battle.
