The Hillcrest Screamin Eagles basketball team (Strawberry, AR), dropped 42-28 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Marked Tree Indians (Marked Tree, AR)
The Indians now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Concord for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 4. Marked Tree will battle a Pirates team coming off a 70-42 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon-Enola (Mt. Vernon, AR). The Pirates record now stands at 18-3.
The Screamin Eagles (11-8) will now prepare for their battle against Maynard (Maynard, AR). The Tigers come into the 1A Region 3 battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Maynard prevailed over Northeast Arkansas Christian Home Educators (Jonesboro, AR), 71-22, in a non-league battle.
