Texas High School Basketball - Pine Tree ripped by Tyler

The Tyler Lions basketball team scored 76 points and held the visiting Pine Tree Pirates to 27 in the Lions league triumph on Tuesday.
The Lions now sport a 18-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marshall for a 5A Region II District 15 contest on Friday, January 5. Tyler will battle a Mavericks team coming off a 55-30 league loss to Longview (Longview, TX). The Mavericks record now stands at 5-14.
The Pirates (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Hallsville (Hallsville, TX). The Bobcats enter the 5A Region II District 15 contest with a 6-15 record. In their last contest, Hallsville triumphed over Beaumont United (Beaumont, TX), 46-31, in a non-league contest.
