The Veterans Memorial Patriots (San Antonio, TX) basketball nipped the host Smithson Valley Rangers (Spring Branch, TX), 54-51 in Tuesday's league test.

The Patriots (7-2) will now prepare for their test against Seguin (Seguin, TX). The Matadors go into the test with a 0-0 record.
