In Thursday's non-league contest, the host St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers basketball team scored a big 48-20 win over the Brattleboro Bears.
The Hilltoppers (4-0) will now prepare for their contest against Rutland (Rutland, VT). The Raiders come into the non-league contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Rutland was trounced by Mt. Mansfield (Jericho, VT), 43-31, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Bears battle the Hartford Hurricanes (White River Junction, VT) in a Marble Valley - A contest, on Saturday, January 4. Brattleboro will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Hurricanes come into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 45-27 non-league win over Springfield (Springfield, VT).
