The Colbert Heights Wildcats basketball team scored 28 points and limited the host Cherokee Indians to 21 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Wildcats now possess a 10-8 record. They play next when they host Phil Campbell for a 3A Area 15 game on Monday, January 6. Colbert Heights will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 56-34 league loss to Mars Hill Bible (Florence, AL). The Bobcats record now stands at 12-9.

With the loss, Cherokee falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Indians host Waterloo (Waterloo, AL) to confront the Cougars in a 1A Area 15 game on Friday, January 3. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 13-3. Waterloo won 54-21 in their recent non-league game against Tharptown (Russellville, AL)
