The Newton County Academy Generals topped the visiting Kemper Academy Rams basketball team by a final score of 34-26 in Thursday's league game.
In their next game, the Generals face the Sylva Bay Academy Saints (Bay Springs, MS) in a game, on Tuesday, January 25. Newton County Academy will attempt to move on its 3-13 season record. The Saints enter the game with a 9-7 record after their 48-13 league win over Kemper Academy (DeKalb, MS).
With the defeat, Kemper Academy moves to 0-4 on the year.
