Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Alleman Pioneers (Rock Island, IL), 70-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Sterling upgrades its record to 17-5 on the season. The Golden Warriors host Galesburg (Galesburg, IL) to play the Silver Streaks in a Western Big 6 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Silver Streaks go into the bout with a record of 7-17. Galesburg lost 83-36 in their recent league bout against Moline (Moline, IL)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Morrison Mustangs (Morrison, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 21. Alleman will attempt to upgrade on its 6-15 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 8-11 record after their 58-55 league win over Orion (Orion, IL).
