The Alpharetta Raiders (Alpharetta, GA) basketball nipped the visiting Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA), 59-53 in Friday's league test.

The Raiders (11-9) will now prepare for their test against Roswell (Roswell, GA). The Hornets go into the AAAAAA Region 7 test with a 5-15 record. In their last test, Roswell was tipped by Sprayberry (Marietta, GA), 60-55, in a league test.

The Greyhounds now own a 14-7 record. They play next when they host Johns Creek for a AAAAAA Region 7 test on Tuesday, January 24. Pope will encounter a Gladiators squad coming off a 62-48 non-league loss to Mountain View (Lawrenceville, GA). The Gladiators record now stands at 5-15.
