Lone Peak Knights (Highland, UT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting American Fork Cavemen (American Fork, UT), 71-69 in a league bout.

With the win, Lone Peak upgrades its record to 12-4 on the season. The Knights host Corner Canyon (Draper, UT) to play the Chargers in a 6A Region 4 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 14-2. Corner Canyon won 73-50 in their recent league bout against Skyridge (Lehi, UT)

Next up, the Cavemen play the Westlake Thunder (Saratoga Springs, UT) in a 6A Region 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 24. American Fork will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Thunder go into the bout with a 10-5 record after their 50-41 league win over Pleasant Grove (Pleasant Grove, UT).
