    Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Ipswich Tigers (Ipswich, MA) and the host Amesbury Indians (Amesbury, MA), saw Ipswich's basketball squad hold off Amesbury by a tally of 54-48.

    With the victory, Ipswich improves its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Tigers host Newburyport (Newburyport, MA) to confront the Clippers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Clippers come into the challenge with a record of 4-5. Newburyport lost 68-56 in their recent non-league challenge against North Andover (North Andover, MA)

    Next up, the Indians confront the Pentucket Regional (West Newbury, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Amesbury will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The come into the challenge with a 1-8 record after their 58-49 league loss to Triton Regional (Byfield, MA).
