Minnesota High School Basketball - Apple Valley knocked off by Shakopee

The Shakopee Sabers basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Apple Valley Eagles to 53 in the Sabers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Sabers now sport a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Farmington for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Shakopee will meet a Tigers team coming off a 69-68 non-league loss to Prior Lake (Prior Lake, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 9-4.

The Eagles (1-10) will now prepare for their contest against Eagan (Eagan, MN). The Wildcats enter the AAAA Section 3 contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Eagan was defeated by Lakeville South (Lakeville, MN), 41-39, in a non-league contest.
