The Providence Day Chargers basketball team (Charlotte, NC), was nudged 60-59 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Cannon Cougars (Concord, NC)

The Cougars now sport a 23-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Charlotte Latin for a NCISAA Charlotte Independent battle on Tuesday, January 24. Cannon will battle a Hawks team coming off a 83-63 league win over Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 11-7.

The Chargers (13-10) will now prepare for their battle against Asheville School (Independent) (Asheville, NC). The Blues come into the non-league battle with a 12-4 record. In their last battle, Asheville School (Independent) was nudged by Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, VA), 62-54, in a non-league battle.
