North Carolina High School Basketball - Providence Day can't hold off Cannon

The Providence Day Chargers basketball team (Charlotte, NC), was nudged 66-62 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Cannon Cougars (Concord, NC)
The Cougars now sport a 27-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Charlotte Latin for a NCISAA Charlotte Independent battle on Friday, February 10. Cannon will battle a Hawks team coming off a 55-47 league win over Charlotte Christian (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks record now stands at 13-10.
The Chargers (17-12) will now prepare for their battle against Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC). The Buccaneers come into the NCISAA Charlotte Independent battle with a 19-11 record. In their last battle, Charlotte Country Day School edged Covenant Day (Matthews, NC), 77-66, in a league battle.
